This award recognises healthcare organisations that have demonstrated outstanding HR performance and workforce leadership over the past 12 months. It celebrates HR teams that have successfully delivered effective people strategies to support workforce wellbeing, talent development, employee engagement, and organisational performance within a complex and highly regulated healthcare environment. The judges will want to see a comprehensive approach to HR, including workforce planning, recruitment and retention, employee wellbeing, engagement, and development. Entrants should demonstrate how HR initiatives have improved workforce capability, supported staff satisfaction, and contributed to the delivery of high-quality patient care. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

- Key Initiatives & Challenges: Please outline the key HR initiatives implemented over the past 12 months. This may include recruitment and retention strategies, workforce planning, employee wellbeing programmes, leadership development, or engagement initiatives. Include any challenges faced (e.g. staffing shortages, regulatory pressures, workforce demands) and how these were addressed.
- Collaboration: Describe how collaboration between HR, leadership teams, and frontline staff contributed to improved workforce outcomes. This may include cross-functional working, employee involvement, or partnerships that supported workforce engagement and organisational effectiveness.
- Outcomes & Results: Highlight the outcomes of HR initiatives, providing evidence of how they have improved workforce performance and organisational effectiveness. This may include improvements in employee engagement, retention rates, absenteeism, workforce capability, or patient service outcomes.
