New research reveals that ethnic minority employees are nearly twice as likely to have their pay raises or promotions rescinded compared to their white counterparts. Ethnic minority professionals also report working longer hours and facing higher expectations of out-of-hours work. Alarmingly, over 70% fear discussing pay due to potential career repercussions. These disparities, compounded by a lack of representation in leadership roles, highlight the urgent need for systemic reform, including mandatory ethnicity pay gap reporting.
