Accenture Ireland appoints new talent and organisation lead

Accenture Ireland has named Wendy Walsh as its new talent and organisation lead, positioning the company to advance HR transformation and strategic people management across Irish clients. The appointment underscores the growing focus on aligning human resources functions with broader business objectives in a rapidly evolving work environment.

In her new role, Walsh will guide clients through organisational redesigns aimed at continuous reinvention, enhancing leadership capabilities, and strengthening HR and people functions. Her remit also covers talent strategy, employee development, and building organisational resilience to navigate ongoing market and technological changes.

Walsh brings extensive experience within Accenture’s talent and organisation business, having held multiple roles across industries. She will leverage this expertise to support clients in deploying AI solutions, including Microsoft Copilot, and other digital tools to drive HR efficiency and workforce transformation.

Hilary O’Meara, country managing director for Accenture in Ireland, highlighted Walsh’s capability to integrate human potential at the core of every innovation. Her strategic oversight is expected to help clients balance technology adoption with the development of employee engagement, culture, and wellbeing initiatives.

Commenting on her appointment, Walsh emphasised her commitment to placing people at the centre of transformation. She will lead a team dedicated to helping organisations unlock value at the intersection of talent and technology, ensuring HR strategies are practical, impactful, and aligned with organisational goals.

Walsh holds a BSc in Marketing and Management from Technological University Dublin and actively contributes to initiatives that foster positive work culture internally at Accenture. Her predecessor, Audrey O’Mahony, now leads Accenture’s talent and organisation business across the UK and Ireland, providing continuity and regional integration in leadership practices.
