Google Cloud has appointed Sandeep Khanna as managing director for manufacturing and industry, as well as Ireland, within its United Kingdom and Ireland organisation, consolidating sector strategy with regional leadership oversight.
BW People reported that Khanna brings more than two decades of experience partnering with enterprises on large-scale business and technology transformation. In his expanded role, he will shape Google Cloud's manufacturing and industry strategy across the region whilst also overseeing operations in Ireland.
His mandate includes supporting organisations as they accelerate cloud migration and embed artificial intelligence into core business processes. The focus will be on helping clients drive operational efficiency, strengthen innovation pipelines and build long-term competitiveness in increasingly digital markets.
The appointment comes as manufacturers and industry players ramp up investments in data, automation and AI-led solutions to modernise supply chains and improve productivity. By aligning sector expertise with regional leadership oversight, Google Cloud appears to be consolidating its push into industry-specific growth opportunities.
Khanna's leadership is expected to play a key role in expanding Google Cloud's footprint among industrial and enterprise clients navigating digital reinvention. The dual remit positions him to coordinate both vertical market strategy and geographic operations, reflecting the company's integrated approach to serving complex enterprise customers.
