Oatly names new head of people for UK and Ireland
Oatly, the global plant-based dairy company headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, has appointed Daniel Gualdino as Head of People for the UK and Ireland. In this role, he will oversee the company’s people strategy, organisational design, talent development, and employee experience initiatives, aiming to strengthen Oatly’s culture and support sustainable growth.
Gualdino brings more than 15 years of HR leadership experience spanning Europe and the UK, with expertise in people analytics, culture transformation, and strategic HR initiatives. Before joining Oatly, he was Lead People Strategist & UK Go-To-Market Lead at Culture Amp, advising global organisations on employee experience, leadership effectiveness, and culture transformation using data-driven insights.
Prior to Culture Amp, Gualdino led People & Talent at allplants, a UK-based sustainable food startup. There, he built the HR infrastructure from scratch, doubling headcount within a year while achieving strong engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion outcomes, and performance improvements.
He also held key roles in tech and digital companies including Kheiron Medical and iTech Media, where he led organisational design, performance management, and employee engagement frameworks across multiple regions in the UK and Europe.
Gualdino’s earlier career included leadership roles in recruitment, learning and development, and HR operations at Language Recruitment Services, Verlag Dashöfer Portugal, and Deutsche Bank Portugal, providing him with a global perspective and broad HR expertise.
At Oatly, Gualdino will focus on creating an inclusive, high-performing workplace, strengthening leadership development, and ensuring people practices align with the company’s sustainability mission.
Founded in Sweden, Oatly offers oat-based milk, ice cream, yogurt, and cooking alternatives across 20+ countries. The company prioritises sustainability and innovation, promoting climate-conscious consumption while embedding responsible practices in its workplace culture.
