Vodafone Ireland opens Dublin headquarters as hybrid working model anchors 850-strong city centre workforce

Vodafone Ireland has officially opened its new six-storey headquarters at St Stephen's Green in Dublin city centre, relocating over 850 staff to a purpose-built 63,000 sq ft grade A office as part of a broader €360 million investment programme. The move is relevant to HR and workplace professionals tracking how major employers are structuring hybrid working arrangements and long-term real estate commitments.

Techbuzz Ireland reported that the company has signed a 15-year lease on the new building, which features a green roof, rainwater harvesting, on-site solar technology, and improved access to public transport and cycling facilities, all contributing to Vodafone Ireland's 2028 net zero ambition.

The company employs more than 2,000 people across its headquarters and 80 retail stores nationwide. Under its current hybrid working model, employees are expected to spend between eight and ten days per month in the office, reflecting a structured approach to balancing in-person collaboration with flexible working.

Vodafone Ireland CEO Sabrina Casalta said: "As we move into our new headquarters, we are continuing to strengthen our network and digital capabilities, so customers benefit from fast, reliable and resilient connectivity and an enhanced experience."

The €360 million investment includes €200 million in mobile network infrastructure, building on a €500 million five-year programme announced in 2023, and up to €160 million in digital and IT systems through 2030. The digital spend will support next-generation customer platforms, AI development, and critical infrastructure upgrades.

The new headquarters was officially opened by Tánaiste and Minister for Finance Simon Harris. Vodafone Ireland, which marks its 25th year in the Irish market in 2026, has invested more than €20 billion in Ireland since 2001, with six in ten Irish businesses counted among its customers.
