Industry NewsUS firms expand nearshore hiring strategy to revenue teams across Latin America
American companies are broadening nearshore recruitment beyond software development to include sales managers, customer success leads and support teams in Latin America, according to data from Nearshore Business Solutions, a US-based recruitment firm specialising in regional placements.
HR Tech Series reported that 90% of organisations evaluating new outsourcing destinations in 2026 are considering Latin America. Sales managers in the United States earn a median of $130,000 (€119,000) to $160,000 (€146,700) annually, whilst comparable talent in Colombia, Mexico and Argentina costs $45,000 (€41,250) to $70,000 (€64,200).
The customer success management market is projected to reach $16.5 billion (€15.1 billion) by 2033, representing a 24.7% compound annual growth rate from 2025 levels. Bilingual customer support job postings increased 50% year over year across Latin America.
Eric Tabone, chief executive of Nearshore Business Solutions, said: "The fastest-growing part of our business is not developers. It is sales managers, customer success leads, and support teams."
He added that when a bilingual customer success manager in Bogotá can run quarterly business reviews, manage renewals and work American hours at half the cost, the mathematics are obvious.
Time zones from UTC-5 to UTC-3 enable revenue teams to work identical hours as US counterparts. Customer-facing roles require cultural alignment that offshore locations cannot match, with Latin American professionals sharing US business norms, communication styles and work schedules.
Graduates from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá and EAFIT in Medellín bring business training to customer success roles. Colombia's Ruta N innovation district produces professionals fluent in SaaS metrics, retention strategy and account management.
Argentina's EF English Proficiency Index ranking, the highest in Latin America, makes it a strong source for voice and digital support agents. Mexico's Tecnológico de Monterrey and UNAM produce thousands of business graduates annually.
